Typical cut creases are open near the inner corner of the eye and “end” on the outside of the eyelid, by fading into darker colors. However, with an open cut crease (shown below) the cut is created and extended past the outside of the eyelid body, as shown below. Cut creases can be especially tricky as getting the “cut” needs to be as tight as possible for maximum effect.

The base shadows are applied first, then the “cut” using a flat tight bristled brush and a steady hand. Then you can add a little splash of color on top. I used ”Gentle” on the inner corner to about halfway on the lid.


Make sense? It takes practice so don’t get frustrated if you don’t nail it the first time! 🥰
